Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a growing model of medical practice in which patients directly contract with their doctor to provide primary care services in exchange for an affordable recurring monthly fee. You will have access to care when you need it. There is no contract with insurance, no hidden fees. DPC practices operate with lower overhead and fewer staff. This allows for a more private and personal visit when you make a trip to the doctor.
Yes; If you would like care outside of our office or to use a hospital, it is often nice to have an insurance option to fall back on.
Membership in a DPC practice is NOT health insurance. We accept people with any insurance or without insurance, but we do not bill any services to insurance. We can offer a receipt to submit on your own.
We will be able to treat most outpatient healthcare needs and our goal is to help you avoid hospital visits and more expensive healthcare needs. Sometimes we can't prevent the need for other healthcare (Cancer, accidents, etc), and it is good to still keep some type of coverage. Many patients have a high deductible health insurance in addition to a DPC membership.
Direct Primary Care patients pay their doctors a monthly membership that is predetermined before making a contract. Membership includes annual physicals, visits to manage chronic medical conditions (Diabetes, Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia, POTS, COPD, Asthma, Sleep Apnea, Allergies, Etc), sick visits (Strep, COVID, Sinusitis, Pneumonia, Croup, Etc), visits for injuries (Sprains, Strains, Concussions, Etc), and for new problems that arise.
There are no copays or per-visit fees - But if a specialty test is needed (Blood work, biopsies, sutures/stitches, Mobilization/Manipulation), there is an extra fee. The prices are clear and can be discussed at the time of service and are very affordable.
The advantage to membership is Patients can communicate via secure messaging, patient portal, email, and have direct access to Brad's phone number. This allows consistent access to care. Many questions and concerns can be managed over a simple phone or video call.
Simply put, no.
This office is a hybrid office in many ways and we realize many people do not want to be tied down to a monthly membership. We offer a pay for specific time and services model as well. However, you will lose some of the readily available access to your provider, and often visits will need to be quicker.
If you are healthy and don't think you often need to see the Doctor - often a membership can prevent the need for an Urgent Care or Emergency Room visit, which then pays for itself! We all think we don't need medical care until that moment that we really do!
We will do our best to keep you healthy and do regular screenings to enable the best health possible. Many illnesses are not easily noticeable without screenings and check ups. We will stop membership at a certain number to allow the patient to provider ratio to be more manageable and personal. No waiting weeks to be seen, nor waiting hours in a waiting room. We value your time as much as our own.
Transparency, affordability, and efficiency. This helps both parties understand and know what the upfront cost and payment is at all times.
Medicine is the only field where upfront costs are unknown and we don't know what anything costs until you get an explanation of benefits (EOB) weeks after your visit. After you receive your EOB, you get an idea of how expensive and confusing medical care and billing can be! In DPC, you pay your doctor directly and costs are transparent and affordable. We eliminate the need to fight with insurance on the back end, which enables our office be dedicated to you, the patient!
We offer greatly discounted cash prices on lab tests. We can perform simple blood tests in the office (Where you only pay our cost of the equipment used, nothing more)!
You can always choose to have labs drawn at a lab facility and run them through your health insurance if you prefer.
We can direct you to local independent imaging centers who share their cash prices for commonly ordered X-rays, CT scans, MRIs and ultrasounds. Paying cash upfront often is less expensive that using your insurance. You always have the option to use your insurance and have imaging done elsewhere if this will cost you less.
Health care has become complex. Between 1970 and 2009, the number of doctors doubled, but the number of administrators increased by over 3,000%! We now have 10 administrators for every 1 U.S. doctor, driving up health care costs.
Sadly our healthcare system is broken. Insurance companies, administration costs, denials, and prior authorizations are demanding so much time that you as the patient don't get the care you need and deserve.
DPC is changing the way providers deliver and patients think about primary care. DPC is a new framework for delivering primary care services that gives patients greater access to physicians, more one-on-one time with caregivers and, in turn, nets better health outcomes. Structured on a set monthly membership model, DPC is structured to be a better way of care by putting patients in control of their health.
Anyone! We treat all ages, from birth to death. We have experience with Pediatric care, Family care, Acute and Chronic disease states, sports injuries and rehabilitation, women's health, hormone treatments, and much more!

We do not require masks inside our office. If you prefer to wear a mask and want the staff here to wear one as well, we are happy to do so.
We do ask that if you are ill with a respiratory illness, flu-like symptoms, or are concerned about strep or something similar; in these cases it would be appreciated if you would wear a mask.
